The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.
SASSA might be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it's alarmed regarding the substantial range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area every day. The provider point developed for intervention activities a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
